Summary
Hey! Iβm a software engineer with experience working as a founding engineer at early-stage deep-tech start-ups, usually working in high-ownership and taking responsibilities of features end-to-end. I also write songs on the side, as well as π blogs!
Work experience:
- Worked as a founding engineer at multiple early-stage start-ups:
- π Atlan:
- Added πΒ run-time testing with assertions for a feature that relied on
<canvas> and was un-testable for DOM interactions. The assertions also tracked failures in production with Mixpanel.
- Drove an internal audit for accessibility of our platform for a WCAG AA certification.
- Worked on implementing a new design system; developed components and recipes. Automated component generation with AI.
- Worked in the Lineage pod: Technical complexities include rendering Directed Graphs on the front-end, processing digraph layouts, adding
<canvas> interactions, rendering assets as nodes and mapping relationships between them with edges.
- π **Medblocks:**
- β Saved the team 3 weeksβ time and scaled our codebases across engineers by adding nominal type-checking without having to rewrite our codebase to an OOP pattern.
- β My best work: Slashed βΌ80% of bugs across projects by adding nominal type-checking for TypeScript and Python.
- Developed a kappa architecture for real-time event-driven systems with Apache Kafka Streams.
- Worked on a CLI application
create-plasma-app that generates applications, similar to create-react-app
- π Neverinstall:
- β My best work: Pitched a redesign to give Neverinstall a strong identity by making it feel like a native Operating System. The final UX got a very positive reception from the users.
- Built an internal UI library of components focusing on a clean interface and extensibility.
- Developed a payment flow with Stripe. Integrated Hasura GraphQL event triggers with microservices.
- Wrote bash installscripts and Dockerfiles for the applications and their extensions hosted on Neverinstall
- Worked at these research labs:
